Tradition with a twist

Nose: Initial burst of sweet vanilla leads to crisp orchard fruits, apples and pears. Then lemon curd, leading on to candied Lemon peel over notes of clean malt.
Palate: Soft and creamy mouthfeel, buttery, with ripened citrus and baked biscuit, coming together in a burst of fresh lemon meringue, followed by a wisp of char and white pepper.
Finish: Slight hints of dry smoke linger and intertwine with the juicier fruit notes, carrying through to a finish of sweet spice.
Serve: Dunville’s 1808 tastes great the traditional way – neat or in the company of a pint. But it’s equally good in a classic cocktail or served long with ginger ale and a wedge of lime.

Nose: Very gentle, floral, sweet and juicy. Orchard fruits intertwined with nutty caramel,
nougat and powerful butterscotch overtones.
Palate: The initial sweetness from the malt gives way to light citrus fruits, orange, lemon, green apples, pepper and clove. The wood spice and lovely oak tannins firm up this whiskey before the oloroso sherry casks take the final curtain.
Finish: Orchard fruits and caramels give way as subtle notes of walnut, nougat, vanilla and dried fruits come through in the soft lingering finish.

Nose: The lightest imaginable phenol drifts over the nose like glider over the Antrim coast. Quiet and barely noticeable unless you look for it, but what it surveys is rather beautiful.
Palate: Stunning texture – a mix of light ulmo honey and mocha makes for the friendliest and most beautiful delivery and follow through. The deft smoke drifts about without portfolio.
Finish: Long, slightly fruity now, with a lovely balance of stone fruits and sherry influence, which linger delightfully before finally giving way to rich mocha and that wonderful final kiss of smoke.
The return of an icon.
We are proud to reintroduce Dunville’s iconic PX 10 year old single malt. The whiskey that heralded the return of The Spirit of Belfast to the world whiskey stage.

Nose: Apricots, grapefruit and toasted almonds open up to fresh green cooking apples, before warming to apple tatin, lightly spiced calvados caramel creme and a dark fruit compote.
Palate: Freshly picked green apples, fruit sorbet, soft orchard fruit salad, then raisins, figs and stewed dates from the PX sherry cask influence, and all while that base of sweet malt, light marzipan sponge cake, and that splendid candied orange grace note we have come to expect from Dunville’s releases.
Finish: Clean malt is interspersed with vanilla panna cotta, dried tropical fruits, Clove, oak spice and a lingering of PX sherry.
With a complexity of flavour seldom found in such a delicate single malt, Dunville’s PX is worthy of its ancestral past. This legendary whiskey has once again taken its rightful place among the premier whiskeys of the world.

Nose: Layering of tropical and orchard fruits and light pepper spices encompassed in soft, powerful but controlled oak, and then a definite hint of Christmas cake that speaks of the quality of the PX sherry hogsheads.
Palate: Green apples, freshly cut green grass, banana cake, spiced vanilla custard and that wonderful Dunville’s candied orange grace note accompanying the dried fruits, raising, figs and sweet luxurious sherry.
Finish: Medium finish. Voluptuous, juicy and chewy. While the warmth and sweet sherry carry through, the final say is reserved for that wonderfully controlled oak, which reveals itself in the last lingering moments of the finish.

Light tropical notes, dried mango, apricots and stewed orchard fruits give way to toasted almonds, mocha coffee and banana bread. Then the Palo Cortado sherry casks make their quality known, with darker stone fruits, sultanas, figs and stewed plums, with a medium dryness and light hints of nutmeg and clove.

Nose: Initial lighter fruit notes of red toffee apples, fresh pomegranate and honeydew melon give way to the warming influences of toasted almonds, and cinnamon iced Danish pastries.
Palate: The quality of the oloroso casks takes centre stage here, with soft dark fruits, prunes, dates and raisins, all soaked in dry sherry and stewed in rich viscous brown sugars. Then warm date and walnut cake, nutmeg and sweetened cinnamon.
Finish: Long and gently warming, malted fruit cake, poached plums with vanilla ice cream, soothing chocolate orange and mellow oak.
Overall: Balanced and complex, viscous, well structured and restrained. Lighter red fruits give way to darker stewed fruits, warming winter spices, and a long mellowing finish.

Full bodied, oily, and eloquent. The initial lighter fruits quickly give way to layers of stewed fruits, dark stone fruits, over ripe plum skins, with dark chocolate and toasted almonds. Layers of warm panettone bread and butter pudding, spiced with ginger and drizzled in candied orange syrup, figs, dates and a hint of oak all marry harmoniously over sublime aged base notes of sweet tobacco and warming winter spices.
