Nose: Initial burst of sweet vanilla leads to crisp orchard fruits, apples and pears. Then lemon curd, leading on to candied Lemon peel over notes of clean malt.

Palate: Soft and creamy mouthfeel, buttery, with ripened citrus and baked biscuit, coming together in a burst of fresh lemon meringue, followed by a wisp of char and white pepper.

Finish: Slight hints of dry smoke linger and intertwine with the juicier fruit notes, carrying through to a finish of sweet spice.

The name 1808 pays homage to the year Dunville’s Irish Whiskey was founded in Belfast, from where it went on to become one of the world’s most famous whiskeys.

We are delighted to introduce Dunville’s 1808 Casked In Bond – a series of limited edition bottlings of Dunville’s 1808 Irish Whiskey with a variety of experimental cask finishes.

Each release is a collaboration between Dunville’s Irish Whiskey and friends, colleagues and partners from across the hospitality industry.

The first Casked in Bond release was Dunville’s World Whiskies Award winning collaboration with Dick Macks Pub and Brewery. The result was a blend of malt, grain and pot still whiskeys finished in Dick Mack’s Honey & Hemp IPA Casks. Further collaborations featuring limited edition bottlings with Belfast Tradfest traditional music festival and The Garrick Bar in Belfast have completed the first trio of Casked In Bond bottlings.

We look forward to future collaborations with industry partners around Ireland and across the world.
